Mumbai: The Federal Bureau of Investigation has reportedly decided to intervene in the actress Jiah Khan suicide case. Rabiya Khan, the mother of the late actress was not convinced with the investigations done by the Mumbai Police and wanted FBI’s intervention to bring the culprit to book, as she still believes that her daughter had not committed suicide but was murdered.  The main accused in the case, Sooraj Pancholi (son of actor Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab), who was in a relationship with the actress, was held guilty of abetting Jiah Khan’s suicide and was also taken into custody by the Mumbai Police in the month of June last year, for a period of 21 days. The FBI has assured Khan’s family of seeking Maharashtra government’s consent and approval to start investigations, claims her lawyer. Jiah Khan had begun her Bollywood career opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Nishabd’. The lady had appeared in Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajin

Dressed in a colourful ghagra-choli, leggy Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone was all set to perform garba on the hit number Nagaada at a daandiya function in Ahmedabad.  But she was stopped from entering the venue by the organisers. The reason? It was because eggs and rotten tomatoes were in store for her, as a group of protesters had gathered at the garba ground to protest against her film Ram-Leela.  Some local groups from Rajasthan and Gujarat have been demonstrating against the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film, starring Deepika with Ranveer Singh, because they say it shows controversial content and misuses the name of Lord Rama. The protesting crowd also objected to Deepika and Ranveer's on-screen kiss. According to onlookers, the group had come prepared with a huge stock of eggs and tomatoes which they had planned to pelt at Deepika and other members of the film. The organisers reportedly smelt a rat and warned Deepika's manager just before her appearance.

9 killed, including 8 children, in Kentucky house fire Nine people were killed, including eight children, in a western Kentucky house fire early Thursday morning, News Channel 5 reported. Greenville Assistant Fire Chief Roger Chandler says 11 people lived at the home in Muhlenberg County, and two were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., for treatment. Multiple fire crews are at the scene. News Channel 5 reported that an adult and child were able to escape from the fire and were transported on LifeFlight. Chandler said the blaze was reported at 2 a.m. CST Thursday, and crews were still at the scene four hours later. Greenville is about 130 miles southwest of Louisville.
