Juliusz Tomszewski, eight,
got a call from his father, Mikolaj, telling him to cycle to the pub to drive
him home
A man is facing five years in jail over a three-car pile up
after telling his eight-year-old son to drive him home because he was too
drunk.
Mikolaj Tomaszewski, 38, had been drinking with friends in
Gielniow, Poland, all afternoon.
When he decided to go home, he realised he was far over the
legal limit.
Thankfully, he happened upon an alternative: young Juliusz.
Rather than call a taxi, the father called his son and told
him to cycle to the pub, and then to drive him home.
He told police that he had allowed the youngster to practice
driving at weekends in a local supermarket car park, and thought it would be
fine for his son to drive him the short distance home.
