Passenger bus robbed in Mahottari

A notorious gang comprising nine members had looted a passenger-ferrying bus (Na. 4 Kha. 1501) heading to Sindhuli from Kathmandu at Maisthan of Mahottari district on Tuesday morning.
The robbers took control the bus driver and made off with the cash and jewelries from the passengers, said Area Police Office, Bardibas. The robbers looted cash of Rs 100,000 and six tolas of gold-made jewelries and fled the scene, said the Area Police Bardibas.
Meanwhile, at least 12 passengers sustained injury when a bus (Na. 4 Kha. 3613) heading to Gaighat from Kathmandu hit a stationery bus (Na. 4 Kha. 7526) at Khayarmara of Mahottari district this morning.
The injured are receiving treatment at Lalbandi-based Care Medical Hospital Three of the injured are in critical condition, police said. RSS
