Kantipur journalist Khatiwada awarded

Bimal khatiwada a Chitwan-based journalist associated with Kantipur Publications, has been awarded this year’s Economic Journalism award (Arthik Patrakarita Puraskar). 
At an event held here on Monday, Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Suraj Vaidya handed over a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 20,000. 
Khatiwada was awarded by the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce on the occasion 
of its 47th annual general meeting recognizing his study through news reports on the economic development of Chitwan, issues in the district and possible solutions. 
According to Sahan Pradhan, coordinator of the award, Khatiwada was honored for his news reports on booming Banana cultivation in Chitwan, problem being faced by the sector and opportunities.
