The Shanti Rehabilitation Center in Krishnanagar of the district has rescued eight women from different parts of India.
The women were trafficked to India by agents by luring them with good job, said Bhumi Raj Bhattarai, coordinator at the centre.
The center rescude the eight women from across the border in a span of six months. Nepali women found in vulnerable condition and possibility of trafficking are rescude .
Meanwhile, the center has nabbed four agents involving in women trafficking.
The agents are Ait Tamang of Nuwakot, Kamal Gharti of Rupandehi, Yam Bahadur Gharti and Shalik Ram BK of Nawalparasi district, center said.
According to the Center, agents Min Bahadur BK aka Arne Maila of Rupandehi and Risang Tamang of Nuwakot are absconding and a search for them is underway.
Moreover, twelve women of Nuwakot and 14 women of Kapilvastu have been reported missing and the center has launched a search for them.
