Driver among 2 held for killing injured passenger

Police have arrested two individuals on the charge of murder ing a person injured in an accident.

Chief at District Police Office, Kavre, SP Arun Kumar BC, informed that driver of a Bolero jeep (Ba 9 Cha 2779), Ganesh Bahadur Mainali (32), alias Prakash of Methinkot-8, and conductor Ram Prasad Mainali, alias Ram Hari, of Sipali in Chilaune-8, have been arrested for their involvement in killing their passenger one Jit Bahadur Moktan, 38, of Budakhani-8, who was injured after falling off the jeep.

"Police have been carrying out further investigation against the duo," said BC, "Preliminary investigations have shown the involvement of both driver and his assistant in the murder ."

According to the statement recorded by conductor Mainali, Jit Bahadur Moktan, who was traveling in a white bolero jeep, was injured after he fell down onto the road at Kavre-3 stretch of BP Highway.

He admitted to have thrown Moktan into a bush down the road at Kupsdanda in Panauti Municipality-1 after the locals at accident site put the injured passenger in the very jeep to take him for treatment.

"Police found the body of Moktan in the same place as described by Mainali in his confession," said the District Police Chief BC.

NFL player Darren Sharper

An arrest warrant has been issued for former NFL player Darren Sharper and his acquaintance, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The 38-year-old is accused of raping two women in New Orleans last September.  Both Sharper and his acquaintance, Erik Nunez, 26, each face two counts of aggravated rape. Last week, investigators learned that not one, but two women were allegedly sexually assaulted by Sharper in the same apartment the night of September 23rd.  New information uncovered also indicates that Nunez also allegedly raped both women that night at the same location. Louisiana law states that a person convicted of committing aggravated rape shall be punished by life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. The investigation continues and additional arrests are possible. In all, Sharper is now being investigated in eight cases in five states on accusations of sexual crimes. Last week, Sharper pleaded not guilty to
