No compromise on election results: Commissioner Yadav

Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has said that there would be no compromise on the voting process and the election results.
Speaking at an interaction program in Kathmandu Sunday, Yadav made it clear that the election process cannot be reviewed as demanded by the UCPN (Maoist).
“Elections were historically free and fair. We expect that the political parties will move ahead accepting the election results,” Yadav said.
“All the election materials were seal-packed and there was no hanky-panky from our side,” the Commissioner stressed, adding that any dissatisfied individual or party has the right to go through the process of the Constituent Assembly Court.
The management, voting and vote counting processes were trustable, he said. “It was, therefore, impossible to change the ballot boxes or play with the ballot papers."
