Elephants attack Saptari; houses destroyed

As many as three houses at Barmajhiya-5 in Saptari district were destroyed by wild tuskers.
A group of five to six tuskers coming from Koshi Tappu Wild Life Reserve destroyed the houses on Monday night. The three houses of Bijuli Pundit, and Dil Mohammad Shekh were pulled down by the elephants.
Grains and other property kept in the houses were also destroyed. It is estimated that property worth 150,000 rupees was destroyed, said police.
The locals and police chased away the tuskers. RSS
